Stephanie Brehme

Stephanie Brehme (* 1970 in Munich ) is a German actress .

Life

Stephanie Brehme graduated from the Pestalozzi-Gymnasium in her hometown in 1988 . She was a member of the chamber choir there and plays the piano. In 1989 Brehme began studying acting at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna , which she graduated with a diploma in 1993. She also received singing lessons. In the 1993/94 season she made her debut at the Theater der Jugend there , followed by a long-term engagement at the Deutsches Theater Göttingen from 1994 to 1998 . Then Brehme returned to Munich and played at the Metropoltheater and in the comedy at the Bayerischer Hof . In 2005/06 she was engaged at the Augsburg Theater, and since 2010 she has been a member of the Theater Baden-Baden ensemble . Brehme was, among other roles Ophelia in William Shakespeare's drama Hamlet , Ilse in Spring Awakening by Frank Wedekind and Hedwig in Henrik Ibsen's Wild Duck . In Göttingen she played in the musical Der kleine Horrorladen by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman . At the traditional strong beer tapping on the Nockherberg, she took part in various roles between 2001 and 2008, including portraying the former CSU politician Gabriele Pauli .

Occasionally Stephanie Brehme also works for television and radio, so she played in one episode each in the series Tatort and Unter Verdacht as well as in the award-winning film Benny's Video by Michael Haneke .

Brehme also gives acting seminars for young people and leads guided tours for children in the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden .

In addition to acting, Stephanie Brehme graduated as a yoga therapist and alternative practitioner in 2011 and 2012, and from 2012 to 2014 further training as a chiropractor and osteopathy . She gives yoga lessons and lives in Baden-Baden.
