In 2003, the young attacker's career was interrupted by a cruciate ligament tear . Nevertheless, she later came to the Bundesliga team of Dresdner SC . There she celebrated her first major successes in 2007 with the German championship and the entry into the final of the DVV Cup . In the next two years, the runner-up and participation in the cup final followed. In 2010, Kestner was involved in the greatest success of the DSC, which not only won the DVV Cup but also the Challenge Cup . In the same year she reached the World Cup final against Brazil with the national military team. In 2011, Dresden was again runner-up. However, the outside attacker suffered another cruciate ligament tear in March and had to end her volleyball career in February 2012.
