Steve Wyatt

Stephen "Steve" Wyatt (born April 23, 1980 in Perth ) is an Australian racing car driver .

Career in motorsport

Steve Wyatt was an active GT driver in the 2010s . Wyatt came out of the Ferrari Challenge and in 2014 competed for AF Corse for a full season in the FIA World Endurance Championship . His best place in a race was 15th overall in the 6-hour race in São Paulo . At the 24 Hours of Le Mans he retired prematurely after an accident involving Sam Bird , who was involved in Nicolas Lapierre's accident in the Toyota TS040 Hybrid in the early stages of the race . He finished eighth overall in this year's Spa-Francorchamps 24-hour race .

Twice, in 2012 and 2013, he won the Wanneroo 300 , a GT and touring car race at the Barbagallo Raceway . In 2013 he secured the overall standings in the GTC class of the Asian Le Mans Series and in 2015 was the overall winner of the Ferrari Challenge Asia Pacific - Trofeo Pirelli .
