Stevče Aluševski ( Macedonian : Стевче Алушевски; born October 1, 1972 in Sydney , Australia ) is a North Macedonian handball official and former handball player .
The 1.90 m tall and 90 kg heavy right-handed player was mostly used on the left wing . Since 2013 he has been the sports director of the North Macedonian Handball Federation.
Career
society
Stevče Aluševski began playing handball at the North Macedonian club RK Pelister Bitola , where he played in the 1st team from 1990. With Pelister he won the championship five times and the cup four times. Internationally, he reached the round of 16 in the EHF Cup 1997/98 and in the European Cup Winners' Cup 1999/2000.
In 2001 he moved to RK Vardar Vatrostalna Skopje and won three more championship and two cup titles. In the EHF Champions League , he was eliminated three times in a row in the group stage. In 2004 he returned to Pelister for a brief stint and in 2005 won the double . In December 2005 he rejoined RK Vardar Skopje . By 2010 he again secured two championships and cup wins. At European level he reached the quarter-finals in the EHF Challenge Cup 2005/06 and in the 2006/07 European Cup Winners' Cup.
In 2010 he went to city rivals RK Metalurg Skopje , with whom he was able to add further championships and cup wins to his collection of titles. At the end of his career, he made the leap into the quarter-finals of the 2012/13 Champions League with Metalurg.
National team
With the Macedonian national team Aluševski took part in the 1998 European Championship (12th place), the 2009 World Championship (11th place) and the 2012 European Championship (5th place). Aluševski played 140 international matches , in which he scored 361 goals. (As of February 23, 2014)
