Steve Knight (born July 12, 1973 ) is an English pool player .
Career
In August 1997 Steve Knight took part in the World Pool Masters for the first time, but was eliminated there in the round of 16. In 1998 he reached the quarter-finals at the World Pool Masters, before losing again in the first round in 1999. In July 2000 Knight reached the sixteenth finals of the 9-ball world championship and was defeated there by the Japanese Kunihiko Takahashi . In August 2000 he was third at the World Pool Masters , in November he won the World Pool League by beating Francisco Bustamante from the Philippines in the final . In July 2001 Knight lost to the American Jeremy Jones in the round of 64 at the 9-Ball World Cup . In September 2001 he reached the quarterfinals of the World Pool Masters , in November he was ninth in the Tokyo 9-Ball Event and sixth in the World Pool League. At the 9-Ball World Championships in 2002 and 2003 , Knight was eliminated in the round of 64 against Oliver Ortmann and Mika Immonen .
Knight was four times ( 1998 , 1999 , 2000 , 2001 ) part of the European team at the Mosconi Cup , with which he lost to the USA.
