Steve Richardson (born July 12, 1972 in Ballymena , Northern Ireland ) is an Irish squash player .

Career

Steve Richardson was never on the PSA World Tour . With the Irish national team he took part in the World Cup in 1995 , 1999 , 2001 , 2011 , 2013 and 2019 . At the World Championships in doubles and mixed 2006 , he retired in mixed with Tanya Owens in the group stage. He was also in the Irish squad at the 1999 WSF World Cup and at least 17 times at European Championships . Born Northern Ireland, Richardson also represented Northern Ireland at the Commonwealth Games in 1998 , 2002 and 2006 . In 2002 he won the Irish championship after beating Derek Ryan in the final .
