The Stickersgatt is a traditional ship in the port of Hamburg .
history
The sticker gatt , named after a small sea gate between the Kugelbake and Neuwerk , was built at the Kriegermann shipyard in Berlin-Spandau and put into service in 1955 by the Cuxhaven Waterways and Shipping Authority . The ship was initially used as a construction manager's boat for the Cuxhaven Leitdamm and was then used as a survey ship for the Wadden Sea in the area of the Elbe estuary . The decommissioning took place in July 1998.
In the autumn of 1998, the couple from Holt acquired the ship and extensively restored it. Ports in Germany , the Kingdom of the Netherlands , Belgium and Scandinavia were called as a motor yacht .
Stickersgatt has been owned by a Hamburg merchant since 2011 and has its regular berth at Sandtorkai in HafenCity . After further conversion and restoration work, the ship can be chartered for traditional cruises with a maximum of 10 people .
