Stig Gunnar Andersson-Tvilling (born July 15, 1928 in Bromma , † September 20, 1989 in Kungsängen ) was a Swedish ice hockey player . His twin brother Hans Andersson-Tvilling was also a professional ice hockey player.

Career

At club level, Stig Andersson-Tvilling played exclusively for Djurgårdens IF . From 1947 to 1961 he entered with his team in Division 1 , the then highest Swedish league. In 1950, 1954, 1955, 1958, 1959, 1960 and 1961 he won the Swedish championship with Djurgårdens IF .

International

For Sweden Andersson-Tvilling took part in the Olympic Winter Games in Oslo in 1952 and in Cortina d'Ampezzo in 1956 . At the 1952 Winter Games, he and his team won the bronze medal. As the best European team, Sweden also became European champions. In addition, he was in his country's squad at the 1953 World Cup , where he won the gold medal with Sweden and was thus again European champion, and at the 1954 World Cup , where he and his team won the bronze medal.
