The Stille Musel , often just called the Musel by locals , is a 14 km long river that rises between Mühlhausen and Hochemmingen on the Türnhalde near the B 523, flows through the Wittmannstal and flows into the Salinensee near Bad Dürrheim . It leaves the Salinensee again, flows through the center of Bad Dürrheim and on to Donaueschingen , past the castle park to the north, where - shortly after the confluence of Brigach and Breg - it joins the Danube from the left .
