The Stimmersee is an artificially created lake in the municipality of Langkampfen near Kufstein in the years 1928–1934 under the direction of Peregrin Stimmer . It lies below the Pendling, slightly elevated above the Inntal . At the same time a small dam with an electricity station and a lake house were built.
Two small streams are the entire tributary to the Stimmersee. The only outflow is the Rochenbach , which flows into the Inn a few kilometers further near Kufstein .
The water is a bathing lake for the Kufstein and Langkampfner people. The east bank is called the “Kufsteiner” and the west bank is called the “Langkampfner side”. A path leads around the lake and can be used as a starting point for a hike to the Dreibrunnenjoch, Thiersee or the Pendling. There was a stop on the Kufstein – Innsbruck railway line , which was closed in 1942.
The bathing lake has a beach volleyball court , a five-meter springboard and a small kiosk.
