The Stockental is a valley in the Thun region , at the entrance to the Bernese Oberland in the Swiss canton of Bern .

geography

The Stockental is bordered in the south by the Stockhorn chain and in the north by the Amsoldingen plateau . In the valley (from west to east) are the communities of Blumenstein , Pohlern , Oberstocken , Niederstocken and Reutigen .

No river flows through the Stockental. There is a watershed near Oberstocken . To the northwest of this is the catchment area of ​​the Fallbach, which flows into the Gürbe ; east of this is the catchment area of ​​the Glütschbach , which forks and flows into both the Kander and the Aare .
