Stockern is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Meiseldorf in the Horn district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 94 building areas with 44,389 m² and 119 gardens on 110,205 m² in the cadastral community of Stockern , in 1989/1990 there were 101 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 376 and in 2009/2010 there were 158 buildings on 383 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 454 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 289 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 455 hectares and 282 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 441 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 288 hectares. The average soil climate of Stockern is 40.3 (as of 2010).
