Stolpe-Süd , sometimes also spelled Stolpesüd , is a district of Hennigsdorf in the Oberhavel district , Brandenburg, and is located north-west of Berlin, somewhat away from the actual city area.

The place is located southeast of the Hennigsdorf train station on Landesstraße  17. In the south, Stolpe-Süd lies directly on the border with Berlin-Heiligensee ( Reinickendorf district ). East of the Hennigsdorf district is Stolpe , which is a district of Hohen Neuendorf . Stolpe-Süd consists almost exclusively of single-family houses.

history

In 1929 around 20 hectares of forest were settled on the border with Heiligensee  . Stolpe-Süd was created. According to some sources, the place belonged to the French sector of West Berlin from September 1945 to December 1948 , while other sources assume that this affected the village of Stolpe . The official move to the Niederbarnim district took place on October 15, 1950.

For a few years, from 1958 to the construction of the Berlin Wall in August 1961, the place had a passenger stop at the Kremmener Bahn with the Stolpe Süd station .

On May 1, 1998, Stolpe-Süd became a district of Hennigsdorf.
