Sanok Rubber Company (previously Stomil Sanok ) is a Polish company manufacturing and processing elastomer products .
history
The Stomil-Gummiwerke were founded in 1932 by Dr. Oskar Schmidt, founded as the Polish Society for the Rubber Industry - Sanok , dealt as plastic and vulcanized rubber with the production of a wide variety of industrial items widely used in the automotive industry and consumer goods. In the chemical industry it had been with 2000 employees since 1938.
Oskar Schmidt was an Austrian engineer who had acquired the exclusive right to the patent for "Laticel" for vulcanization. In 1933 he founded a factory in Sanok for the industrial processing of rubber .
Stomil continues to manufacture profile seals for steel and plastic pipelines, V-belts and seals for windows and consumer goods, as well as numerous products based on synthetic rubber, with the exception of car tires. The company was renamed Stomil Sanok SA in 1991. The company has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since 1994 .
The company produces in six plants and has an annual turnover of PLN 720.1 million (2013). It employs a total of more than 2500 people.
In addition to the Stomil factory, the youngest German PASS factory, a large part of the Schwelm factory, also works.
Temporary work and unions
The company in Sanok employs temporary workers from temporary employment agencies. as a recruiting tool. In the Stomil works there are four larger trade union confederations, the larger of which, from 2001 the NSZZP as OPZZ, emerged from the reformed official trade union movement of the communist period during the short period of perestroika from 1984 to 1989.
