2006

Stop Snitchin, Stop Lyin ( German : Stop teasing, stop lying) is The Game's sixth published mixtape . It was released on January 10, 2006 through The Black Wall Street label. In addition to the sound carrier, an external DVD was also released, which is also called Stop Snitchin, Stop Lyin.

background

Stop Snitchin, Stop Lyin is the third and last mixtape, which is aimed directly against the group G-Unit and especially against its founder 50 Cent . The reason for the diss is a beef between The Game and 50 Cent, which was created after Games left G-Unit. In the released DVD, The Game tries to break into 50 Cents villa with friends and steals his basketball hoop as a result.

Musical content

The mixtape mostly contains disstracks for 50 cents and G-Unit. While the latter are often made fun of, lyrically demanding songs such as Red Bandana , in which The Game tries to prove who the better rapper is, are also included on the album.

In addition, "neutral" songs on the album, which are primarily about the difficult life in the socially disadvantaged areas, are often in a hedonistic form.

success

To this day, Stop Snitchin, Stop Lyin The Games is the most successful mixtape: It sold 15,000 times in Ireland and was awarded Platinum. Besides OKE: Operation Kill Everything , it is also the only mixtape that The Game was able to chart with. The DVD was also awarded gold in Ireland.
