Charts
The RED Album reached # 1 on the US Billboard 200 . In total, the release stayed in the United States' album charts for 11 weeks. In Canada, the album was number 2 in the charts. The RED Album was also represented in the German album charts at position 22 .
criticism
The e-zine Laut.de rated The RED Album with three out of a possible five points. From the editor's point of view, Alexander Austel, it is an album that " certainly has its beautiful moments ", but with a shortened " guest list and [...] track list [...] it did a lot more and was better ". So it is a flaw that the " many, mostly top-class guests [...] displace Game from the top of the storm " and that he "mutates into a substitute ". The piece The City , however, hits “ exactly the hip hop nerve of every rap lover. “The Game is helped to achieve “ top performance ” with a“ frightening, atmospheric beat from the pen of Cool & Dre ” . Nevertheless, the productions are criticized as a " flaw ". Austel misses contributions by Dr. Dre , who “ could have let one or the other beat jump than just reporting a little about the life of the drug lord in the intro, outro and the two skits. “The hooklines to Hello and All The Way Gone as well as the contributions by Lil Wayne on Red Nation and by Chris Brown on Pot Of Gold have also been criticized negatively.
