Sträterei is a district of Dinslaken , is located on the Rotbach , has approx. 200 inhabitants and statistically belongs to the Grafschaft settlement district . It was created by the settlement of a Sträter family in the Rotbachtal around 1700. The area used to be part of the Walsumer Mark and, like the Schlägerheide, was owned by the Protestant schools in Dinslaken and Hiesfeld. It belonged to the mayor's office of Dinslaken-Land until 1905 and then to the mayor's office of Hiesfeld until 1917 and is located in the east of Dinslaken. It is bounded in the west by the A3 autobahn , which separates Oberlohberg from Sträterei, in the north by the town of Grafschaft , in the east by the Wesel state forest and in the south by the Oberhausen district of Sterkrade with its districts of Brink , Neuköln and the small district of Im Fort in Dinslaken. Sträterei is sparsely populated, dominated by agriculture and is characterized as a wooded local recreation area with excursion restaurants in the area of the Rotbachtal.
The district is connected to the local transport network by bus line 17 of the Verkehrsgemeinschaft Niederrhein . It is located on state road 397. The distance to Dinslaken and Hiesfeld is around 6 and 4.5 km, respectively.
