According to Metacritic , the PC version received mixed reviews, while the version for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 received generally positive reviews from critics. The game is described as a mixture of adventures similar to Indiana Jones or similar adventure games like Tomb Raider and Uncharted and zombie games like Left 4 Dead , but the zombies are mummies. The story is described as a trashy framework that mimics the lurid style of 1930s and 1940s B-movies . The speaker, who uses too many superlatives and seems intrusive, is criticized . However, this is also entertaining and ironic. The graphics are appropriate for the game. The shooter mechanics with the traps, the level design, the enemy types, the setting and the collecting possibilities are also praised. On the other hand, a similar gameplay is criticized, the single player mode that is coming too short, puzzles that are too simple and a missing split screen for a local multiplayer.
