The Aigle CFF – Aigle Grand Hôtel tram , also known as Tram Aigle , until 1902 Aigle JS – Aigle Grand Hôtel tramway , was a tram route in Aigle in Chablais in the canton of Vaud , owned and operated by the Aigle-Leysin-Bahn (AL) it operated between 1900 and 1932. Thereafter, the access route to the hotel was closed and only the route to the depot was used by trams, which carried the cogwheel trains between Aigle CFF station and the beginning of the cogwheel railway line. From 1946 the trains to Leysin ran from the Aigle CFF station with vehicles for mixed adhesion and cogwheel operation, so that the tram cars were no longer needed.

The tram was built as a feeder to the Grand Hôtel Aigle des Bains . The owner of the hotel, which opened in 1872, was looking for a way to transport his guests from the train station to the hotel. Originally, the Aigle-Sépey-Diablerets-Bahn was to have a stop at the hotel, but the construction of the railway was delayed until 1913. The hotel was therefore connected to the Jura-Simplon railway station by tram , which is also the connection to the valley station of the Manufactured rack railway to Leysin , which was located at the depot of the rack railway. The tram started operating on May 5, 1900. From August onwards, it also carried the cogwheel railway wagons on the station-depot section, as these did not have their own drive to drive the adhesion section .
Due to the global economic crisis , the hotel's guests stayed away, so that the tram service to the hotel was stopped in August 1932, the line from Aigle CFF to Leysin was still in operation. The hotel closed its doors in 1934. During the Second World War, the hotel served as refugee and troop accommodation before being demolished in 1947. The tram line from Pont de la Grande-Eau had already been canceled two years earlier.

The tram was operated with three two-axle motor vehicles. The manufacturer was the Schweizerische Industrie-Gesellschaft (SIG) from Neuhausen am Rheinfall, with the electrical equipment coming from the Compagnie de l'industrie électrique (CIE) from Geneva. So that the cars could stop safely on the steep stretch to the hotel, they were equipped with claw brakes. With this system, clawed brake shoes grabbed oak beams that were embedded in the street along the track.
The tramcars not only had the task of serving the route between the train station and the Grand-Hotel, but also carried the cogwheel train cars between the train station and the depot. They still fulfilled this task when the tram service to the hotel had ceased. The railcars only became superfluous with the conversion of the Aigle – Leysin line to 1500 V and the introduction of vehicles for mixed adhesion and cogwheel operation and were canceled in 1946.
