The Angarsk tram ( Russian Ангарский трамвай / Angarsker Tramwaj ) is a tram company in the East Siberian city of Angarsk . The company, which opened the first line on November 26, 1953, operates a total of 13 lines on its broad gauge network . As a result, the city already had an electric tram five years after it was founded in 1948.
Construction of the railway began in 1951. In 1962, the operation was placed under the administration of the city. The network was expanded by her and with a length of around 34 kilometers is the largest in Eastern Siberia.
