Reviews

Filmstarts.de rated the film 3 out of 5 stars and rated StreetDance 2 as a “spectacular 3D dance film in parts”.

Time Out magazine emphasized that in addition to “a few comedic interludes and a routine romance”, the focus is on the “very impressive” 3D dance scenes.

Wolfgang M. Schmitt (Die Filmanalyse) praised the film's political message: “Here, dance is not dance for its own sake, we should read dance allegorically, as an expression of political movement. [...] The lost generation of dancers and demonstrators no longer want to accept their fate in a globalized world. They no longer want to live in a world of unregulated financial markets and powerless parliaments. "
