19-year-old Laura and her boyfriend need money to rent their apartment. Since the student does not earn enough with her previous part-time job, she searches the Internet and finds erotic personals that she responds to. After being raped by one of her internet acquaintances, she breaks up with her boyfriend. Since she now lives alone in the apartment and has to pay for her studies, she gets into prostitution despite the negative experience . Meanwhile, she meets the charming Benjamin, who later leaves her out of jealousy . Laura then decides to stop prostitution and move to Paris . Later she gives a TV interview about her life as a student prostitute, in which she leaves it open whether or not she worked as a prostitute in Paris.

Video.de wrote that the film was “psychologically flat and without any noteworthy character development” , but that it “stimulated with nuanced performance by Déborah François ( "L'enfant"), the social realism of Dardennes and the cool eroticism of Catherine Breillat ("Romance"). "
