The Studio 1058 is a German recording studio in Berlin that the grub is operated -Bassisten man Pokrandt. Around 150 CDs of various genres have been produced since it was founded in 1986.

history

Studio 1058 was founded in 1986 by Manne Pokrandt and the star combo Meißen keyboarder Egge Schumann in Prenzlauer Berg in East Berlin. The zip code moved into the name of the studio and a Commodore C64 technically set the direction for production in the coming decades: Out of the box . The technology was bought in the 1980s at black market rates in western Germany. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, both founders went their separate ways. The studio, initially located in the founder's apartment, moved to new, larger rooms in Berlin-Buchholz in 2000. One of the first private studios in the GDR was opened by Horst Krüger and Gerti Möller in 1972 at Clementweg 35 . From 2000 onwards, Studio 1058 productions were made here in 17 years. In December 2014, Buschfunk Verlag commissioned Manne Pokrandt to design the 25th anniversary of the publishing house, including the production of a live double CD. After the sale of the property, the studio and the internet company hooolp GmbH, which Manne Pokrandt founded in 2009, moved to Pankow Park (Berlin-Wilhelmsruh) in a building owned by Black Box Music Event Technology GmbH in September 2017.

The Boston grand piano is located in the 28 m² recording room with daylight . Recording technology, musicians, production team and guests can be accommodated in the 33 m² control room. About half of the CDs were recorded live in various locations in Berlin and outside of it, e.g. B. in the Columbiahalle , the Kulturbrauerei , the Theater des Westens , in Salzburg, Gotha, Rostock etc.

Several productions were commissioned by the Buschfunk label and Eulenspiegel-Verlag . Film synchronization, audio restoration for the Allied Museum Berlin, commissioned compositions, hypnosis music and music for promotional videos are part of the service.
