Gerti Möller (born October 30, 1930 in Meuselbach , Thuringia ) is a German pop , rock and chanson singer . In the 1960s to 1980s she also worked as an actress in a number of television ( German television ) and DEFA productions as well as in musicals. She is divorced from Horst Krüger in her second marriage and now lives in Berlin-Buchholz .

Musical development

Gerti Möller began a two-year vocal training at the age of 16, successfully took part in a singing competition and then received an engagement as a singer with the Wolfgang Brandenstein Ensemble. In 1959 she founded the singing group Basaris together with Gerd Michaelis , later sang with the Babsis and in the Gerd Michaelis choir she sang one of her greatest successes with Blau ist die Nacht . Gerti Möller became known to a larger television audience as a solo interpreter at the GDR Schlager competition in 1967, when she came third with the Jürgen Hermann title Sag . In 1968 Horst Krüger brought them into his formation, the Horst Krüger Band . With this band she made the change from beat-based dance music to song-like rock music. In the DEFA film Hot Summer she had the singing role of Brit .

She also accompanied two-part performances by the dance duo Emöke Pöstenyi and Susan Baker in Ein Kessel Buntes .

In the DEFA music film Die Chansonreise Gerti Möller played and sang in 1971 alongside the French fashion designer , actor and singer Jean-Claude Pascal , together with Angelika Domröse and Gisela May . In 1973 she worked in the TV production Landgang nach Meißen - A musical entertainment fairy tale for adults .

When Krüger broke up the band in 1973, Gerti Möller founded the Münchehofe choir . In 1979 she got the leading role in the only German rock opera Rosa Laub at the Volkstheater in Rostock. Although everyone involved was breaking new ground with this project, it was a complete success. Not only the premiere , but also all other performances were sold out. In 1983 the Rostock Volkstheater added the rock opera to its program for a second time.

In the 1980s Gerti Möller performed mainly as a chanson singer and together with the band Krakatoa from Frankfurt (Oder) at home and abroad. With the change of musical style, she also produced her only solo LP I am a woman on the Amiga label , for which she also performed performances in Paris .

She had successful appearances in Berlin's Friedrichstadtpalast , in 1990 among others in the revue Kiek ma an alongside Helga Hahnemann , Alfred Struwe and Alfred Müller . She also appeared in live programs with Manfred Krug , Frank Zander , Roy Black and Roberto Blanco . She has performed internationally with her songs and programs in Algeria , Tunisia , France , Bulgaria , Poland , Russia , Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan .

After the fall of the Wall , Gerti Möller started her live program Two Wrong Fuffs in the 1990s and was on tour with this show until the mid-2000s. Since 2010 she has been live with the show Zwei wie wir (together with Horst Krüger) and the Berlin program Det is Berlin .

In 2014 she worked as an evil queen in the Snow White cultural project . Further performances followed in 2015.

Music productions

With Gerti Möller numerous radio productions as well as singles and long-playing records with the Gerd Michaelis Choir and the Horst Krüger Band have been made . With the Münchehofe company , Möller can be heard on the LP Circulus by Holger Biege , Tell her also by Gerd Christian and Frank International by Frank Schöbel . Her great solo successes are the titles sand in the shoe , When the sun came , hearts have no windows , drive on , Solo in cigarette smoke and loneliness . For the TV series The Invisible Visor, she worked on the soundtrack. She sang the title track for the DFF multi-part Three Lovely Sisters , which was composed by Gerhard Siebholz . She is involved on the CD Swingin 'Ballads by Uschi Brüning , which was released in 2005.

On June 13th, 2009, her title My Taxi Waiting premiered in the Berlin Opera Palace Unter den Linden . In the same year she produced the song Come Little Sarah and in 2010 she recorded the Gerhard Schöne title Schmuddeltine . Shortly after her 80th birthday, she presented in the MDR telecast here from four a new recording of hats the day , planned for the 2011 anniversary album is planned. In cooperation with Heinz-Jürgen Gottschalk , the music project GENERATION plus was created in early 2011 and on April 1, 2011 she published the title You need your help (in Haiti).
