The critic Roland Kober describes her work for the Bothe-Strauss premiere as follows: "The figures themselves are worked with soft focus, Su Bühler surrounds their red-tinged costumes with a layer of tulle so that their edges become indistinct." In the years 2000 to In 2005 she was appointed head costume designer at the Schauspielhaus Bochum , and from 2005 to 2009 in the same position at the Schauspielhaus Zurich. In 2003 she designed the costumes for the successful production Mendy - the Wusical by Helge Schneider in Bochum .
