Sudden Slaughter - Bone Forest 3 is a German amateur - splatter film by Utz Marius Thomsen in 2008. It is the third part of the bone forest trilogy.
action
A group of friends are holding a ritual in the nearby Bone Forest with which they want to raise the psychopath Mike Mansfield from the dead. Nobody really believes in it, but Mike Mansfield actually wakes up from the dead and begins a campaign of revenge. But Dennis Craven, who succeeded him in the second part, is still at large. Both storm a wild drinking party in the house of Acid Arafat and slaughter the party guests.
Only Derek and Lori, who had a serious argument about the ritual and locked themselves in a room for the purpose of making up sex, did not notice. When they realize their predicament, it is almost too late. They learn that the only way to stop Mike Mansfield is to stab him in the heart with the ritual dagger.
The two psychopaths get into an argument and try to kill each other. After it initially looks like Dennis Craven will emerge victorious from the duel after applying the ritual on himself, Mike Mansfield manages to split him in half. He stuffs one in a garbage can and then turns to Derek and Lori. Lori can thrust the dagger into his heart, but that's not enough. He kills Derek. Then Lori gets angry and tears out his heart and cuts it up. Mike Mansfield is finally dying.

The film was shot in 2007 in Flensburg and the surrounding area. It had its cinema premiere at the Indigo Filmfest on October 25, 2008 in Wadern-Bardenbach . In 2008 it was released by the independent label Maximum Uncut Productions together with its two predecessors in 2014 as a double DVD in a remastered version on DVD. A new edition followed in 2014.
reception
The film is aimed primarily at splatter and horror fans. A further reception outside of this framework did not take place. The third part is generally regarded as the most successful, especially since the camera work and special effects appear much more sophisticated. Of course, they can't keep up with professional productions. The film series was repeatedly compared with the works of Andreas Schnaas .
