Suddhipala ( Against Khan ; * 1303 ; † September 4, 1323 in Nanpodian (南坡 店), then called Wangdupu (望 都 铺), 15 km southwest of what was then Shangdu in the Zhenglan banner of the Xilin Gol Federation in Inner Mongolia ) was a Mongolian khagan and under the name Yingzong also Chinese emperor of the Yuan dynasty .

Life

Ayurparibhadra's son ruled between 1320 and his assassination in 1323.

He came to power with the help of his grandmother Targi and her favorite, the hated Finance Minister Temüder († 1322). His government maneuvered indecisively between the Temüders clan and the opposing party, which in view of the terror at court was not enough. Finally, Temüder's adopted son staged a coup in which six high officials, five princes and the Alanian bodyguard were involved. Suddhipala and his first minister were murdered on a journey home in Nanpo.
