Sukma ( Hindi : सुकमा Sukmā [ ˈsʊkma ]) is a city in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh .
The population was 13,926 at the 2011 census. Sukma is the administrative seat of the Sukma district .
Sukma is located in the extreme south of Chhattisgarh near the border with the neighboring state of Odisha on the northern bank of the Sabari River. After Raipur , the capital Chhattisgarhs, there are around 390 kilometers. The national road NH 221 connects Sukma with Jagdalpur and Vijayawada .
