Sukun

Sukūn (سُكُون) is an optional character in the Arabic script that is used to vocalize text. It is used to indicate the lack of vowels in a consonant. The Sukun is written as a small circle and, like most of the other auxiliary characters, is placed above the consonant to be vocalized (indicated as a circle in the graphic).
