Suleiman Abdallah Grinder
Suleiman Abdallah Schleifer , actually Marc Schleifer (* 1935 ) is an American poet, journalist and professor emeritus at the American University of Cairo .
Live and act
Schleifer grew up in a secular Jewish family on Long Island . He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania , converted to Islam and turned to Sufism .
Schleifer is a Middle East expert and was the head of the Cairo office of the National Broadcasting Company (NBC). He interviewed numerous leaders in the Middle East, including Aiman az-Zawahiri , Jordan's King Abdullah II, and then Crown Prince Hamzah . He was one of the 138 signatories of the open letter " A Common Word Between Us and You " ( Engl. A Common Word Between Us and You ), the personalities of Islam to leaders of Christian churches everywhere in October 2007 sent.
2006–2007 he headed the Washington office of Sender al-Arabiya . He is editor-in-chief of The 500 Most Influential Muslims , jointly published annually by the Prince al-Walid-bin-Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown University and the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Center of Jordan .
He is one of the Senior Fellows of the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought (Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought).
He is married to Tayba Hassan al Khalifa Sharif .
