Sulmierzyce ( German Sulmirschütz ) is a town and seat of the municipality of the same name in Poland . The place is located in the Powiat Krotoszyński of the Greater Poland Voivodeship .
history
The town of Sulmierzyce becomes part of the Adelnau district in the Prussian province of Posen in 1887 . In 1908 the city was renamed Sulmirschütz.
In 1920 the Weimar Republic had to cede the city to Poland because of the Versailles Treaty .
After the city was occupied by the German Wehrmacht in 1939 , the city was incorporated into the German Reich in violation of international law . Until 1945 it was part of the Ostrowo district in the Reichsgau Wartheland .
