The marsh ditch ( Ruisseau le Sumpfgraben ) is a six-kilometer-long right tributary of the Seltzbach in the French department of Bas-Rhin in the Grand Est region .

course

The swamp ditch rises at a height of 205  m in the northern Vosges on the northern edge of the Forêt de Gunstett southeast of Dieffenbach-lès-Wœrth . It initially flows in an easterly direction on the northern edge of the Forêt de Gunstett , making a small arc, then straight along the northern edge of the Forêt de Gunstett . It then reaches the swamp area at Weiskreuz and now moves south-east along the southern boundary of Hoelschloch . At Weiherallmend , northwest of Surbourg , the SNCF tracks reach him and he changes his direction of travel to northeast, with the embankment running parallel to him. The swamp ditch now flows through a green zone, where numerous meadow ditches feed it from both sides, and finally flows into the Seltzbach east of Kutzenhausen at an altitude of 150  m .
