Suphanat Mueanta ( Thai ศุภ ณั ฏ ฐ์ เหมือน ตา * August 2, 2002 in Si Sa Ket Province ) is a Thai football player in the position of a striker .
Club career
Suphanat Mueanta was born on August 2, 2002 in the province of Si Sa Ket in the northeast region of Thailand, the Isan . Already in his early childhood he played alongside his older brother Supachok Sarachat , who, in contrast to Suphanat Mueanta, who took his father's name, bears his mother's surname. After the older of the two was accepted into the youth division of the Thai first division club Buriram United , he was followed some time later by the younger Suphanat Mueanta in the club's youth teams. In 2015, the then 13-year-old was one of the Thai favorites to take part in the international Coca-Cola soccer tournament in 2015, in which he was then actually used. Before that, he had been voted the best striker on the field in various friendly matches and tournaments.
He quickly made the leap into the professional squad, to which he officially belonged from the 2018 game year , but had already played in friendly matches the year before. He then made his professional debut on April 10, 2018 at Buriram United, for which he was still active in the youth team and also belonged to the club's second men's selection, Buriram United U-23. Before that, he had already sat on the bench without being used in two league games and two group games in the 2018 AFC Champions League . He made his professional debut in a 2-1 home win over Nakhon Ratchasima FC in the third minute of added time for his older brother Supachok Sarachat and was the youngest player in Thai history at 15 years, eight months and 22 days League. After that, he was again more and more unused on the substitute bench of the Thai first division club before he came back to two missions in May.
In the second of these two appearances, a 5-0 home win over the underdog and bottom of the league Air Force United , the young striker showed his scoring risk and attacking strength when he was sent onto the field at halftime in exchange for veteran Ekkaluck Thonghkit . In the early stages of the second half, Suphanat Mueanta had several chances to score and scored his first competitive goal as a professional from Buriram United in the 65th minute of the game after Diogo had presented it. At this point he was just 15 years, nine months and 24 days old, making him the youngest scorer in the history of the Thai League. Even after that, the young offensive player had chances to score again and again in the game, of which he converted another to a goal in the 84th minute when he headed to 5-0 after another submission by Diogo.
In the further course of 2018 he came again and again to short appearances in the league, mostly lasting only a few minutes, but also to somewhat longer appearances in the Thai FA Cup 2018 or the Thai League Cup 2018 . In the championship he and his team are currently (as of September 21, 2018) the title favorite four rounds before the end of the season, in the cup the team is currently in the semifinals (as of September 21, 2018) and in the league cup they were eliminated on September 19 with 1 : 2 against Bangkok Glass .
National team career
At the junior level, Suphanat Mueanta has demonstrably been appearing for the various national teams of the Football Association of Thailand since 2017 . In March, he represented the Thai U-16 team at the JENESYS Japan-ASEAN U-16 youth football tournament sponsored by the Japanese Foreign Ministry . With his home country, Suphanat won Group C by a superior margin and showed them to be extremely dangerous with four goals in an 8-0 victory over their colleagues from Singapore . In the semifinals that followed, Thailand was only just knocked out on penalties against Vietnam and lost in the game for third place, in which he scored another goal, 3: 5 against hosts Japan . In July 2017, he took part in the AFF U-16 Championship 2017 , which was held as the U-15 Championship for the first time this year, in his own country with the Thai U-16 team. Suphanat contributed a goal in the first group game against Australia. It was mainly thanks to the performance of the young offensive player that Thailand won this group. Even scored three more goals in the following four group games, all of which were decisive hits and led to a 1-0 win over Indonesia, a 2-1 win over Laos and a 1-0 win over Myanmar. Only in the 2-0 victory of the Thais over Singapore did Suphanat not score. The subsequent semi-final game against Malaysia won 1-0, but lost 4-2 on penalties in the final against Vietnam. With four goals, Suphanat was second best scorer of the tournament, along with Chony Wenpaserth from Laos and behind Sieng Chanthea from Cambodia, who scored five goals.
As part of the Thai U-19 selection , he took part in the 2017 AFF U-19 Championship in Indonesia in July 2018 . With his home country, he prevailed against the competition in the group phase and climbed into the subsequent knockout phase and the associated semifinals as first place in Group A. In this defeat the team lost 2-1 to hosts Indonesia. In September and October 2018, he will be part of the 23-strong Thai squad taking part in the 2018 U-16 Asian Football Championship in Malaysia .
