Susanne Brantl (born April 26, 1967 in Munich ) is a German cabaret artist , diseuse , actress, director and author .

Life

Susanne Brantl studied theater studies and German at the LMU Munich from 1988 to 1996 . From 1990 to 1994 she trained as an actor at the Lee Strasberg Theater & Film Institute in New York and from 1995 to 2000 she studied singing with Hilde Rehm ( Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz ) and Veneta Radòeva (State Opera Bulgaria and Bremen Opera).

In 1991 Susanne Brantl was a founding member of the fast food improvisation theater, of which she was a member until 1996. From 1992 to 1996 she appeared in TV productions at the Chiemgauer Volkstheater. Since then she has worked in numerous theater and TV productions (including the title role in The Witch of Schongau by Herbert Rosendorfer and in 2005 in Auf geht's zur Wiesn as Vroni by Quast ). Since 1996 she has been developing her own cabaret programs and chanson evenings .

The play The Life Without Loss of Time , which integrated partially lost texts by Erich Kästner from the time he worked with Edmund Nick in the Munich cabaret Die Schaubude , won special attention . Kästner's texts in Nick's arrangements had been kept by the composer's daughter, Dagmar Nick , and made available to the team consisting of Susanne Brantl, Gerold Huber (piano) and Eva Demmelhuber (director) for a new interpretation.
