Susanne Hoffmann

Susanne Hoffmann (* 1966 in Langenhagen ) is a German photo, video and installation artist. She lives and works in the atelier of the ice cream factory in the southern part of Hanover .

Life

After graduating from high school, Susanne Hoffmann attended the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig from 2005 and 2006 and continued her studies in fine arts, photography and video at the University of Applied Sciences Ottersberg under Professors Michael Dörner and Jochen Stenschke from 2007 to 2010 . She graduated with a diploma .

Susanne Hoffmann is a member of the BBK Hannover. Her work is represented in national and international exhibitions and can be found in both private and public collections.

Since the beginning of August 2013, her video installation timeless can be seen in the joint exhibition WasserKunst: Between Dike and Pond in the historic park of the Edelhof Ricklingen . The following is noted in the exhibition catalog :

“The video work timeless shows a dreamlike journey of a female being in a surreal , fantastic world under water. The time factor - generation boundary - seems to have been eliminated. The weightlessness caused by the element of water and the sometimes strong slowing down of the images reinforce the impression of metamorphosis and transcendence . "
