Susanne Regel (born September 9, 1974 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German oboist and professor of historical oboe instruments , currently at the Trossingen University of Music . In addition, she plays as an orchestral musician and as a soloist at many international and national festivals. She specializes in the baroque oboe , the classical oboe and the romantic oboe .
education
Susanne Regel played woodwind instruments during her earliest school days and began intensive training on the recorder , the modern oboe and historical oboes.
In 1993, Regel was the youngest participant to reach the semi-finals of the international “early music” competition in Bruges . After graduating from high school (1995), she studied historical oboe instruments (Ku Ebbinge) and recorder (Sebastién Marq) at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag and graduated with honors in 2001.
Recordings
Usually has made more than 100 radio, CD and DVD recordings. Particular attention is paid to her participation in the complete recording of Bach's cantatas under the direction of John Eliot Gardiner with the English Baroque Soloists in 2000.
