Suzanne Rogers (* 9. July 1943 in Colonial Heights , Virginia as Suzanne Crumpler ) is an American actress .

Life

Rogers left her hometown at the age of 17 and joined the show dance troupe at Radio City Music Hall in New York City . She began her acting career in 1973 when she took on the role of Maggie Horton in the soap opera Zeit der Sehnsucht , which has been produced since 1965 . In 1979 she was awarded an Emmy for her performance . In addition to her work in the soap opera, in which she was in front of the camera in over 600 episodes between 1973 and 2013, she was rarely seen in other acting roles; Exceptions were appearances in Quincy , Our Little Farm and Knight Rider .

Rogers suffers from the rare muscle disease myasthenia gravis , which she was diagnosed with in 1984. Between 1980 and 1982 she was married to Canadian actor Sam Groom .
