Sven Kopp (born February 17, 1995 in Weiden in the Upper Palatinate ) is a German football player .

career

Kopp came to SpVgg Weiden (later SpVgg SV Weiden ) in the U13 and played in the first team in the regional league as a 17-year-old in 2012/13 . He was also a regular in the Bayern League the following season and scored a total of ten goals in 67 games for Weiden. In the summer of 2014 he was signed by third division club SSV Jahn Regensburg . Jahn's sports director Christian Keller called Kopp the “greatest talent in Eastern Bavaria ”.

On August 5, 2014, at the home game against SpVgg Unterhaching on the 3rd matchday of the 2014/15 season , he was substituted on for the injured Sebastian Nachreiner shortly before half - time and thus made his professional debut. Regensburg lost the game with 0-2. Kopp came to a total of four third division appearances, Regensburg was relegated to the regional league at the end of the season. In the 2015/16 season , he rose again to the 3rd division with SSV Jahn as champion of the Bayern Regionalliga . At the end of the 2016/17 season , he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga. From then on, however, Kopp was only used in Jahn's second team in the Bayern League .

In January 2019, Kopp moved to the Regionalliga Bayern for SpVgg Bayreuth .
