Sven Schomacker (* 1973 in Rotenburg an der Wümme , Lower Saxony ) is a German politician and was a member of the Pirate Party Germany from 2009 to 2020 . From April 2012 to November 2013 he was General Secretary of the Pirate Party Germany.

Life

education and profession

Sven Schomacker completed training as a nurse and paramedic . He works as a nurse in an industrial group.

Political career

Schomacker has been a member of the Pirate Party Germany since summer 2009. From 2010 to May 2012 he was State Treasurer of the Bremen State Association . He significantly supported the development of the administration of the Pirate Party at the federal level, for example with the introduction of the Sage administration software .

His political work focuses on “free education”, “direct democracy” and “quick and complete conversion to renewable energy sources”.

At the federal party conference in Neumünster in April 2012 , he was elected general secretary of the party to succeed Wilm Schumacher . Among other things, Schomacker is responsible for the expansion of the pirate party's much-noticed information technology .

Since November 2013 he has been head of the Pirate Party's member support and works in the party's IT support.

At the assembly meeting for the 2015 citizenship election in Bremen, Sven Schomacker was elected to fourth place on the state list.

Private

Sven Schomacker grew up in Quelkhorn , has several children and lives in Bremen.
