The Swantevit is a passenger ship operated by the Oswald shipping company from Zingst .

history

The ship with the serial number 34, built in 1982, belongs to the inland passenger ship (BiFa) type III series, the 1111 project of the “ VEB Yachtwerft Berlin ” in Köpenick . From December 1982 it operated with the "White Fleet" in Stralsund and was berthed in Warnemünde . It was used for harbor tours and evening trips. Before the vehicle was acquired by the Oswald shipping company in 2003, it was used by Dieter Schütt from Rostock from 1991. The ship is used for regular bicycle transport and runs on the Barth- Zingst- Born - Althagen - Ribnitz route .

The hull, decks and superstructures of the vehicle are made of steel. The volume is 108.90  GRT . The motor ship is designed for inland waters and with its 110 hp engine reaches a maximum speed of 9  knots . The vehicle is approved for up to 124 passengers.
