Swede Sensation is a German tribute band whose repertoire is composed of the greatest hits of the successful Swedish pop group ABBA .
history
The ABBA Tribute Band was founded in 2004 for an international touring production. The original line-up consisted of the soloists Saskia Tanfal (as Agnetha Fältskog), Dominique Lacasa (as Anni-Frid Lyngstad), Marcus Fritzsch (as Benny Andersson) and Tom Luca (as Björn Ulvaeus). The show toured the only German ABBA tribute band that is not made up of individually casted singers existed in Europe in many major concert halls and venues such. B. Churchill Theater London, Barcelona Theater Musical, Gewandhaus zu Leipzig , Friedrichstadt-Palast Berlin, Gasteig Munich, Alte Oper Frankfurt, Classic Open Air Berlin and many more. Under the name ABBACAPELLA, the ABBA Tribute Show continued to perform throughout Europe in concert halls, on open-air stages, galas, trade fairs and at events of well-known companies such as Mercedes-Benz , Dr. Oetker , Sparkasse , Postbank , NDR , MDR , IKEA . ABBACAPELLA presented its Abbashow live in Warsaw to 100,000 viewers for the 2008/09 New Year's TV show in Poland with Polsat . The ABBA Tribute Show played as a support act for various international artists, such as Mike & the Mechanics , Kim Wilde , Boney M. and Bonnie Tyler . Since 2012 the soloists Sara Mosquera (as Anni-Frid Lyngstad) and Mike Rubin (as Benny Andersson) have been an integral part of the ABBA Revival Show, which appears under various show names across Europe. In 2014, in agreement with Polar Music (ABBA), the previous name ABBACAPELLA was changed to Swede Sensation.
