action

The director Mr. Nitvitch is making a western film. He's not at all satisfied with his leading lady. Accordingly, his mood is irritable, after a short period of filming on the set, he sends his staff to lunch. Southern beauty Joan Mason works in the studio canteen. She has long dreamed of a Hollywood career. In this canteen she serves stars such as Humphrey Bogart , Marie Wilson or Pat O'Brien or the director Mr. Nitvitch. He too comes to dinner with his assistant and orders bean soup. Shortly afterwards, Joan's friends come in and are surprised that she only managed to serve the canteen. She becomes embarrassed about the situation. The director's assistant, Rick, helps her, claiming that she has a role in a movie. Kate takes up the situation and says she has an appointment with Mr. Nitvitch. This is only briefly indignant; because he recognizes her wonderful southern accent and engages her in his film.
