Swiss and the others (in other notations such as "&" with "+" or instead of "and") is a German punk rock - band with crossover influences from Hamburg . The formation consists of the front man Swiss , as well as the bassist Matze Grimm, the guitarist Jakob Schulze, the drummer Tobias Gerth and the DJ Da Wizard. The style of the group is strongly influenced by political issues.

history

In September 2014 they released the EP "Schwarz Rot Braun", the first official release on their own label Missglückte Welt (distribution via Soulfood). For the release, Swiss and Die Andern played three live shows for fans and music journalists on a cutter trip across the Elbe in the port of Hamburg . In autumn 2014 Swiss and Die Andern accompanied the band JBO on their tour through Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Appearances at Inas Nacht on ARD and at several festivals followed.

The debut album Große Freiheit was released in January 2015 , with which Swiss and the others reached number 44 in the album charts in Germany . The video releases for Miss You and Ashes to Dust made it to rotation on several TV channels. The second album Missglückte Welt followed in 2016 and after the EP Wir gegen die , which was released in 2017, the third album Randalieren für die Liebe was released in the summer of 2018 . The fourth album Saunaclub was released in 2020.

style

The group plays fast punk with crossover and hiphop influences. The band identifies as left and describes their own music as "Zekkenrap". This is a constant thematic influence. So z. B. Nationalism, gentrification and the punk scene thematized. The numerous guest musicians from rap and punk are also an essential part of the music.
