Sylvain Rota (born January 24, 1984 in Chambéry ) is a French triathlete and Ironman winner (2012). He is included in the best list of French triathletes on the Ironman distance .
Career
Sylvain Rota was active in swimming as a teenager. He started triathlon at the age of 18 and has been with the professional fire brigade in Annecy since 2006 .
Ironman winner 2012
In April 2012 he started on the Ironman distance for the first time and in September the then 28-year-old won the Ironman Wales .
In 2016, he finished eighth in the Marathon des Alpes-Maritimes between the cities of Nice and Cannes as the best French rider in 2:34 hours .
