The Szpiglasowa Czuba is a mountain on the Polish-Slovakian border in the High Tatras with 2160 m. above sea level in the Szpiglasowa Grań massif
Location and surroundings
The state border runs over the main ridge of the Tatra Mountains, on which the Szpiglasowa Czuba is located. Below the summit are two valleys, the Dolina za Mnichem as a side valley of the Dolina Rybiego Potoku in the north and the Dolina Ciemnosmreczyńska in the south.
From the summit of the Szpiglasowy Wierch in the east, the Szpiglasowa Czuba is separated by the mountain pass Wyżnie Szpiglasowe Wrótki , from the western summit Szpiglasowy Ząb by the mountain pass Pośrednie Szpiglasowe Wrótki .
etymology
The Polish name Szpiglasowa Czuba comes from the nearby summit Szpiglasowy Wierch and this is derived from the German word Spißglas off, turn on the once mined in its vicinity stibnite is due.
Flora and fauna
Despite its height, the Szpiglasowa Czuba has a colorful flora and fauna. Numerous plant species occur, especially high alpine flowers and grasses. In addition to insects and mollusks and birds of prey, marmots and chamois also visit the summit.

There is currently no marked hiking trail on the Szpiglasowa Czuba . The ridge trail, which also ran over its summit, has been closed due to numerous accidents.
