The FFH area Tüllinger Berg and Tongrube Rümmingen is a protected area (protected area identifier DE-6726-341) in the German state of Baden- which was registered in 2005 by the Freiburg Regional Council in accordance with Directive 92/43 / EEC (Fauna-Flora-Habitat Directive) Württemberg . The area was determined by ordinance of the Freiburg Regional Council on October 25, 2018.

The 342.02 hectare protected area belongs to the natural areas 200- Markgräfler Rheinebene and 201- Markgräfler Hügelland within the natural spatial main unit 20- Southern Upper Rhine Lowland .

It essentially consists of the Tüllinger Berg and three sub-areas, which extend to the following three cities and communities in the district of Lörrach:

Description and purpose of protection

The protected area includes the most important orchards and forest complex of the Markgräfler Rhine Plain with other valuable biotope types such as grasslands and hay meadows as an outstanding bird habitat and a former clay mining site as a habitat for rare amphibian species.
