The FFH area Weidfelder bei Gersbach and an der Wehra is a protected area (protected area identifier DE-8313-341) in the German state registered in 2005 by the Freiburg Regional Council in accordance with Directive 92/43 / EEC (Fauna-Flora-Habitat Directive) Baden-Württemberg . With the ordinance of the regional council of Freiburg on the definition of areas of Community importance of October 25, 2018, the area was determined.

The 2011.69 hectare protected area belongs to the natural areas 155- High Black Forest and 161- Dinkelberg within the natural spatial main units 15- Black Forest and 16 High Rhine area .
It consists of several sub-areas and lies on the markings of four cities and municipalities:
- Schopfheim = 663.2879 ha, 33%
- Herrischried = 120.5978 ha, 6%
- Todtmoos = 401.9926 ha, 20%
- Weir (Baden) = 824.0849 ha, 41%
Description and purpose of protection
The protected area is characterized by the typical cultural landscape of the southern Black Forest with its pasture fields and hay meadows, which occur mainly in the south-facing high valley around Gersbach with the neighboring hamlets as well as in Todtmoos-Weg and Prestenberg. In addition, there are large contiguous forests on the slopes of the ravine-like valley of the Wehra with impressive rocks and rubble heaps.

Contiguous protected areas
The FFH area consists of several sub-areas, it partially overlaps with three landscape protection areas and is located entirely in the Southern Black Forest Nature Park . The nature reserve No. 3122 - Bannwald Wehratal lies within the area.
