The FFH area forests, meadows and wetlands near Jestetten is a protected area (protected area identifier DE-8317-341) in the German state registered in 2005 by the Freiburg Regional Council according to Directive 92/43 / EEC (Fauna-Flora-Habitat Directive) Baden-Württemberg . With the ordinance of the regional council of Freiburg on the definition of areas of Community importance of October 25, 2018, the area was determined.

The 387.9 hectare protected area belongs to the natural areas 091- Hegaualb and 120- Alb-Wutach area within the natural spatial main units 09- Swabian Alb and 12- Gäuplatten in the Neckar and Tauberland .

It consists of five sub-areas and is on the markings of 3 cities and municipalities:

Description and purpose of protection

The protected area is a low terrace of the High Rhine with wooded slopes, moist hollows in the area of ​​former channels, numerous sintered spring areas and bogs, wet areas with amphibian populations and species-rich deciduous forests. It is a near-natural bank area of ​​the High Rhine.
