The Turnverein 1893 e. V. Nieder-Olm ( TV Nieder-Olm or TVNO for short ) is a sports club from the town of Nieder-Olm in Rhineland-Hesse .

The TV Nieder-Olm has over 2000 members in 16 departments. In addition to the 1925 founded Handball Division , which represents the largest section of the club, the TV Nieder-Olm offers skiing , badminton , leisure sports , gymnastics , judo , ju-jitsu , Koronarsport , Athletics , Prellball , swimming , gymnastics , volleyball and this club open each one Running and cycling meeting .

Handball

Since 2018, the handball department has consisted of four men's and one women's teams. In the youth sector, the entire age spectrum is covered, from minis to A-youth.

The first men's team of the TVNO rose to the 2nd handball Bundesliga in the 1993/94 season , but had to relegate back to the Regionalliga Südwest as bottom of the table . For the 2011/12 season , the TV Nieder-Olm competed in the 3rd division and rose after the first season in the newly founded handball Oberliga Rheinland-Pfalz / Saar . Since the 2017/18 season she has been playing in the fifth-class Rheinhessenliga.

The first women's team competes in the district league.

In 2000 the swimming department merged with five other swimming clubs from Mainz and Rheinhessen to form the SG EWR Rheinhessen-Mainz .
