criticism

On January 21, 2004, Spiegel-Online published a report that Takko Fashion is laying off all employees over 50 because they no longer fit into the company concept. This action, and the fact that Takko Fashion still does not have a works council, brought Takko Fashion to the public media interest.

In November 2012, internal email correspondence emerged from which it emerged that at least 50,000 textiles for Takko had been produced in Chinese prisons via an order from Global Fashion Support GmbH . According to the company, this practice was discontinued in the summer of 2012 because they were "not satisfied" with the service provided by Chinese subcontractors. Takko Fashion did not check the production sites, only a postal address was known.
